Dear Co-Labourers and Friends,

Matthew 28:5-7a says, “And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified.  He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.  And GO quickly, and TELL his disciples that he is risen from the dead;…”  When these ladies witnessed for themselves the empty tomb that first resurrection morning, they were instructed by the angel to GO and TELL.  As a part of the same family, we too have been commanded to do the same.  That is the work of world evangelism.  That is why we go.  That is why we give.  That is why we get involved in the great commission.  It is not a suggestion to be ignored; it is a command to be obeyed!  GO and TELL!

Cassie and I want to say thank you again for your support prayerfully and financially.  With your help we are able to more effectively go and tell.   Rest assured we never take your partnership for granted and count it a joy to be your representatives to the world.  Many of you were kind enough to send a special Christmas gift last quarter along with your regular support.  What a blessing you have been to us!   From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you.

The Lord has certainly kept us busy since our last letter.  Thank you for continuing to help us pray for the software transition here at our home office.  If all goes as planned, by the time you read this letter it should be up and running.  That is not only the result of a lot of prayer but also literally months of hard work on behalf of our office staff.   We have also been busy in our office interviewing new MWBM missionaries.  I am very excited about these missionaries reaching the Middle East as well as the Pacific Northwest with the Gospel.  Also, we continue to train missionaries through Macedonia World Baptist Institute of World Evangelism.  In fact, you can take classes yourself!  Log on to mwbminstitute.org and check it out.  Then of course, week after week God has opened doors for Cassie and me to help Pastors stir God’s peoples’ hearts for reaching the world with the Gospel.  What a joy it has been to see churches increase their missions giving in spite of a world wide pandemic!  Rest assured friend, God is not through just yet!  I have been blessed in conference after conference to see Him work in the hearts of His people in a mighty way.  Believing that God would give through them what He would have never given to them, one church increased their missions giving by $5000.  Another church has determined to more than double what they had given the previous year for God’s glory.  I realize it takes more than money to get a missionary to the field, but what a wonderful way for God’s people to not only partner with missionaries around the world, but to also exercise their faith as well.   Thank you for giving to the cause of Christ!  Only eternity will reveal the true worth of it.

In closing, would you please continue to pray for our safety as we travel?  Would you please continue to pray that God would work through our own personal soul winning efforts to reach others with the Gospel?  Would you please help us pray that God would raise up more labourers for His harvest?  On a personal note, our son Joshua will be getting married March 26.  Please help us pray for him and his fiancé Amanda as they begin their lives together.  Believing that you will continue to pray for us, Cassie and I therefore continue BY FAITH.

December 2020

Dear Co-Labourers and Friends,

Cassie and I greet you in the name of the Lord Jesus!   We also praise His good name for the privilege of serving Him alongside of our co-labourers.  Thank you for your prayers.  Thank you for your faithful support.  Thank you for being our friends.  We count each of you as precious gifts from God.

The Bible says in Michah 5:2, “But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little amoung the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.“  We often talk of the second coming of the Lord, and we certainly should.  However, I think we ought to remind ourselves, especially this time of year that the greater majority of the world has not heard of His first coming.  I trust throughout this Christmas season each of us will remember the actual “reason for the season.”  God’s Word teaches us that Jesus was born to die, so the world through Him might live.  It is that Gospel message as well as the command by our Saviour to take it to a lost and dying world that compels us forward and causes us to press on.  Thank you again for being a part of this great missions endeavor.

I often say now that our Lord’s great commission has not been canceled!  Cassie and I have been as busy this fall as we have ever been.  We have had missions conferences as far north as Maine and as far south as Florida.  God has been so good to not only grant us open doors and traveling mercy but also to allow us the privilege of seeing churches determine to do more for missions in spite of being in the middle of a worldwide pandemic.  It has been absolutely thrilling for us to see pastors and church families determine to “keep the main thing the main thing”.  Our office staff has certainly been busy as well.

Recently, we have just finished orientation with three new MWBM missionary families that are headed to South Africa, Guatemala, and the great state of Idaho.  What a thrill to have a part in helping their local churches and pastors get them to their prospective fields and then sustain them while they are there!  Would you like to be an extra special blessing to some family just getting started on deputation?  If so please let me know, and I will be more than glad to put you in touch with them.  Also, our office continues the work on the software transition that I have been asking you to pray about as well.  The hours of training have been long, and at times the task has seemed overwhelming.  However, I have never been more pleased with how the staff has worked together to make this needed change.  I give the Lord glory and ask that you might continue to help us pray for this great need.  Our MWBM families are depending on us. Recently, while soul winning with the Calvary Baptist Church of Waterloo, Iowa, during their missions conference, a couple from the church knocked on the door of an elderly man who proclaimed to be an atheist.  He wanted nothing to do with the couple, or the Gospel they had come to share.  Oh how my heart broke!  I was reminded that day that there are no atheists in hell. He may choose not to believe here, but he will believe there.   We must continue to try and reach them with the Gospel now!  The Gospel always has been and will continue to be the power of God unto salvation.  Therefore, for God’s glory and by His grace, Cassie and I will continue by faith.
