March 2018

Dear Friends,

Cassie and I count it an honor to labor with you in reaching the world for Christ.  Your faithful prayers and financial support have been used of the Lord to sustain us for another quarter of the year for which we are so very grateful.  From the bottom of our hearts, we thank each of you.

We have certainly been busy!  Here at our home office we are working diligently to help our 129 missionary families prepare for tax season.  That is right. As we reach the world with the Gospel we are still instructed to “render unto Caesar” as well.  What a blessing, huh?  We have also been very busy “fanning the flame of world evangelism.”  Since our last update, we have traveled literally thousands of miles on both the road and in the air to help pastors stress the need to their congregations to continue in their worldwide missions efforts.  The Lord has certainly blessed as we have seen Him stir the hearts of His people concerning the great need to reach the world while we yet have opportunity to do so.  Truly the hour is late, and the need is great!  The highlight of the quarter, however, had to have been after preaching a Sunday morning service at the Bethel Baptist Church of North Wilkesboro, NC.  Having heard the Bible message, “A Vessel For the Finer” out of Proverbs 25, a young man 27 years of age walked the aisle and trusted Christ as his Saviour.  It is always a joy to see people pass from death unto life having heard the good news of the Lord Jesus Christ.  After 29 years of preaching, I never cease to be amazed at the power of the Gospel.  It still has the power to change men’s lives today.

Cassie and I also want to thank those of you that have given to help with the expense of our upcoming MWBM church planters conference in Europe during the month of July.  The Lord knows our hearts.  It is our desire to be a help and a blessing to each of our church planters while there.  Needless to say, the cost of such a trip is very expensive.  However, we firmly believe it is God’s will for us to be there and that He will supply the financial need in His timing as we trust and look to Him.  I assure you we are doing our part to plan, prepare, and save as much as possible.  However, we must pray that God will supply the remainder of the funds needed in the days to come.  We are hoping to purchase our airline tickets sometime in the month of May.  Currently the cost of airfare alone is around $3000 for the two of us.  Will you please help us pray about this need?

“Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you:”  2 Thessalonians 3:1. Please know we pray for you faithfully and thank God for each and every one of you.  Only eternity will reveal the fruit of our labor together.

Sincerely for Souls,

Dr. Scott Caudill

December 2017

Dear Co-Labourers,

Greetings in the wonderful name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.  Cassie and I rejoice in your friendship as well as in your partnership for the furtherance of the Gospel.   It is only through your prayers and financial support we can continue to do what God has called us to do. From the bottom of our hearts, we again thank you.

Since our last update we have traveled to meetings through Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Virginia, Maryland, Tennessee, North and South Carolina, and Illinois, as well as our home state of Georgia.  The Lord has been so good to provide safety as we have literally traveled thousands of miles to “fan the flame” of world evangelism.  We have also been blessed to see more people saved this quarter as well.  Recently after preaching a simple salvation message in Statesville, NC, at the Calvary Baptist Church two precious bus kids trusted Jesus as their Saviour.  Two were also saved at the First Baptist Church of Clinton, Illinois, while I was there in a missions conference.  It never gets old seeing people pass from death unto life.  To God be the glory.   The Gospel truly is the power of God unto salvation and continues to produce fruit that abounds to your account.  Only eternity will reveal the true worth of our efforts together.

We have also been blessed since our last update to approve a new missionary family to Brazil.  Here at our home office we pray constantly that the Lord will continue to raise up more labourers to take the Gospel message to the world while we still have opportunity to do so.  Will you please join us in prayer for this very needed request?  Surely the night is coming when no man can work.

Cassie and I also wanted to say “thank you” to those that sent a special offering for our missions trip to visit our European church planters this coming July.  Thus far $400 has been given and we are very grateful.  Please join us in prayer that God will continue to send in the remaining $2700 for plane tickets as well as supply the need for lodging while there.  Please know we have only one motive for making the trip, and that is to encourage and be a help to our 11 church planting families in Europe so that even more souls might be reached with the Gospel.

By the time you get this letter each of you will be preparing for Christmas.  Rest assured Cassie and I consider each of you a precious gift from God; a gift for which we are so thankful.  However more than anything we rejoice in the gift of God’s only Son that was wrapped in swaddling clothing that first Christmas morning.  It is only through Him we have the hope of a better and a brighter tomorrow.  Therefore, let each of us remain faithful to His calling to reach the world with the Gospel for God’s glory.  Where there is a creature, God intends for there to be a preacher!  Therefore, we continue by faith.

Yours for souls,

Dr. Scott and Cassie Caudill

September 2017

Dear Friends and Co-labourers,

Cassie and I trust this letter finds each of you well and enjoying the manifold blessings of our wonderful Lord.  Has not the Lord been good to allow us to serve Him?  We rejoice in the opportunity that we have been given not only to serve the Lord, but to serve Him alongside of God’s wonderful people.  We truly are labourers together for the cause of Christ.  Thank you for your faithfulness in praying, supporting, and giving so that Cassie and I might continue to do what God has called us to do.

Since our last prayer letter we have been in churches in North Carolina, South Carolina, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Nebraska, Mississippi and New Mexico.  We are very grateful for traveling mercies and for more opportunities to “fan the flame” of world evangelism.  We constantly pray for the Lord to open the doors that He would have opened and have absolutely been amazed to see Him do so.  Recently while preaching at the Midwestern Jubilee, at the invitation of Macedonia church planter Andrew Schank and the Great Commission Baptist Church of Blair Nebraska, a teen-age boy named Justin was gloriously saved by the good grace of God.  It never gets old seeing people pass from death unto life having responded to the Gospel.  We have also been thrilled to see the Lord stir the hearts of His people in giving more than they have ever given before by faith in order to reach the world with that same gospel.  Oh what a thrill it is to see the Lord work!  September through November is our busiest time of year for missions revivals.  Will you please help me pray that God would use us in a very special way during these meetings?  From the bottom of our hearts we thank you for your prayers.

As a result of your prayers and financial support I was also blessed to be a part of Macedonia’s Southwest Orientation in Waterflow, New Mexico.  Pastor Don Chitty, missionary to the Navajo Indians, and Pastor of the Open Bible Baptist Church there was a very gracious host to say the least.  Brother John Beck (Macedonia’s Southwest Field Director) did an outstanding job leading the classes as well as moderating the services.  I believe our church planters in the Southwest were both encouraged and
enabled to stay the course for God in their various works.  I could not have been a part of that very important and needed week without your help.  Thank you!

In my last letter I mentioned that next year Cassie and I plan to travel to Europe in order to be a part of a conference being planned by our European Field Director, Dr. Roger Baker.  Currently, MWBM has 11 families serving in Europe and the Middle East.  I believe God has put it in our hearts to be in some of their churches, visit with them, encourage them, preach to them and try our very best to be a blessing to them while there.  Some of our supporting churches have asked about helping with the expense of the trip.  What a blessing!  Thank you so much.  The airfare for the two of us currently is about $3000.  Then of course there is lodging for a week to ten days we have to plan for as well.  Needless to say the cost of such a trip is very expensive.  Therefore, I have asked our secretary here at the home office to set up a travel expense account for the European conference in July, 2018.  This is a step of faith.  I am firmly convinced if God wants us in Europe in July of next year, He is more than able to meet the need.  I assure you this is not a frivolous request on our part, but rather a real need.  I truly feel this trip will enable me to be a more effective General Director for the cause of missions in Europe and even the world for God’s glory.

In closing I rejoice in the wonderful 43rd annual MWBM conference recently hosted by the Corinth Baptist Church of Loganville, Ga.   During this meeting Macedonia celebrated 50 years of assisting local Independent Baptist Churches service their missionaries.  Thank you Pastor Tommy Foskey and church family for going out of your way to be a blessing to the over 30 MWBM families that attended the conference.  As a result of your encouragement, as well as the many that labor with us, we continue by

faith.

June 2017

Dear Friends and Co Labourers,

Again, Cassie and I greet you in the wonderful name of our Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ.  As I begin to ponder His many blessings over the course of the last two months, one of my favorite portions of Scripture comes to mind.  Lamentations 3:22-23 says, “It is of the LORD’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.  They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.”  We are so humbled by the opportunity to serve our wonderful Lord in the capacity in which He has called us to do so.  It is only by His faithfulness we are able to continue.  We’re also thrilled to labor together with you in order to carry out God’s will to reach the world with the Gospel.  Only eternity will reveal the true worth of our efforts together.  Thank you.

These past few weeks have been very busy to say to the least.  Since our last prayer letter we have interviewed church planters headed to Honduras, the Philippines, as well as the great state of Texas.  I have had the privilege of visiting with two of our church planters in the state of Montana and to again see the need first hand for Bible believing churches in the Western USA.  In the month of June, I plan to travel to Nebraska as well as New Mexico in order to try and be a help to more of our church planters.  Would you please join me in prayer for traveling mercies?  Certainly a world at its worst, needs a church at its best!  We have also been in a different church every week since our last letter “fanning the flame of world evangelism.”  As a result of that, we have been blessed to see churches increase their faith promise missions giving as well as develop an even greater vision to reach the world with the gospel.  It is only through your faithful giving and your fervent prayers that we are able to continue.  From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.

We do have a very special prayer request this quarter.  Lord willing, in July of 2018, should the Lord stay His coming, we will be making a trip to Europe with Macedonia’s European Field Director, Dr. Roger Baker.  God has put it on Dr. Baker’s heart to have a European conference in Germany in order to meet with and encourage as many of our European church planters as possible.  Currently, MWBM has 11 families serving in Europe and the Middle East.  Cassie and I would love to accompany Dr. Baker during the conference.  As you can imagine, the cost of such a trip is very expensive.  Currently we can expect to pay as much as $1500 a person just to get there.  However, we are firmly convinced if the Lord wants us there, He is able to provide to that end.  If you could help us pray that God would help us meet this need we would appreciate it very much.  We will certainly do our part knowing that God has promised to do His.  He is able!

Beyond a shadow of a doubt the highlight of our travels since our last letter came on a Wednesday night at the Eastside Baptist Church in Mebane, NC, when after I finished preaching a ten year old girl named Cayleigh knelt in the altar and asked Jesus to save her soul.  Praise the Lord! God is still in the soul saving business!  Therefore, with joy in our hearts, we continue by faith.

March 2017

Dear friends and co-labourers,

Cassie and I greet you again in the wonderful name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.  It is always a joy to share news of fruit abounding to the account of those of you that pray and partner with us on a regular basis.  God has used each of you this quarter to supply our every need for which we are tremendously thankful.  Several churches sent special Christmas gifts in the month of December for our family.  Therefore, from the bottom of our hearts we want to thank you.  You have been so very gracious and kind.

Over the past few weeks our office staff has been working diligently to provide our missionaries with the tax documents required by the IRS at year’s end.  As you can imagine, this is a monumental task when you consider we have over 120 families that require this service.  Since becoming the General Director of Macedonia World Baptist Missions, I have come to appreciate our home office staff more than I ever have before.  Their passion for what God has called upon each of us to do for our missionary families is contagious.  This year Macedonia celebrates 50 years of partnering with pastors, local churches and missionaries to get the Gospel around the world.  Only eternity will reveal the true worth of our efforts together.

Many highlights come to mind as I think back over the course of the last few months. As a result of your prayers and financial support Cassie and I have traveled literally thousands of miles in order to “fan the flame of world evangelism.”  We have been blessed as well to see thousands of dollars raised through the faith promise missions giving of God’s people through their local church.  However, the greatest highlight of the quarter would have to be our trip to visit Macedonia World Baptist Missions church planters Jason and Heather Lowe serving on the island of New Providence in the West Indies.  Since 2006, they along with their children Audrey, Ian, Aiden, and Ethan have given their lives to reach the Bahamian people for Christ.  Having planted the Beacon Baptist Church there, they continue to see souls saved and lives forever changed by the power of the Gospel.  As I preached on Sunday morning to a full house, one young lady having been convicted of her need to be saved trusted the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal Saviour.  At that very moment I was reminded yet again, the Gospel never has, nor will it ever lose it’s power!  It truly is as Paul said in Romans 1:16, “…the power of God unto salvation…”  I was also reminded that God is still calling men to plant churches and reach people for His glory.  As a result of the Lowes being obedient to our Lord’s command to take the Gospel to the West Indies, a young lady heard the truth of God’s Word and was gloriously saved!  I wonder how many more could be reached with that same Gospel if we would just get busy doing with the Gospel what Jesus commanded us to do with the Gospel.  Where there is a creature, God intends for there to be a preacher!

In closing, Cassie and I ask that you would please continue to pray for our safety as we travel.  We have several other missions trips planned this year for which we trust the Lord to provide the funds.  Therefore, we continue by faith.

In His service,
Dr. Scott Caudill

December 2016

Dear Fellow Labourers,

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counseller, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6

Cassie and I greet you in the wonderful name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and wish you all a Merry Christmas. This time of year, we are very thankful for the opportunity to remind ourselves that the Lord Jesus was willing to become like us so that we could become like Him. This is a truth that God has commanded us to share with the entire world. Therefore with the Lord’s help and yours, we continue to do so by faith.

God has blessed in so many ways since our last update. We rejoice that as a result of your prayers and special gifts, we were able to purchase a newer vehicle for the ministry. This has been a pressing need, and we are glad to be able to report that God has met that need in a wonderful way. To GOD be the glory!

Our travels to “fan the flame of world evangelism” have taken us as far north as Canada and as far south as Florida. We have seen souls saved, lives changed, and hearts burdened for the great need to reach the world with the glorious gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.

We certainly praise God for safety on the road and in the air, as well as for the many times our wonderful Lord has provided our every need. He has used many of you to do that for which we are tremendously thankful. Thank you all so very much for your faithful prayers and financial support. We could not do what God has called us to do without you. We are truly labourers together with God.

Since our last update, our home office staff has or will interview potential missionaries to Burma,  Papau, New Guinea, Africa, as well as India. Whereas I rejoice in the missionaries that God is still calling into the Gospel ministry today, my heart is tremendously burdened for the great need of more labourers. Jesus said in Luke 10:2, “…The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest.” I wonder how many more of God’s children would surrender their lives to reach the world with the gospel if you and I would simply join together in prayer for labourers? The King’s business requires haste! Will you pray for labourers today? Will you surrender your life to do the King’s bidding? Will you give that men might live in Christ today?

In closing let me assure you that not only do Cassie and I appreciate and covet your prayers, we also pray for each of you as well. Our hearts are filled with gratitude for each and every one of you that strive together with us for the Gospel’s sake. We hope the Lord will allow our paths to cross again soon. In the meantime, we will by the good grace of God continue by faith. We love and appreciate you all. Thank you for your faithfulness.

Sincerely,

Dr. Scott Caudill

September 2016

Dear co labourers and friends,

“To God be the glory, Great things He hath done” are the words that come to mind as Cassie and I reflect upon God’s blessings over the course of the last two months.  Since our last letter we have been blessed to see several souls saved and several churches increase their missions giving as well as their awareness of the great need to reach the world with the gospel.  Our travels to “fan the flame of world evangelism” have taken us to Montana, Wyoming, Utah, Alabama, North and South Carolina, Maryland, and of course our home state of Georgia.  For literally thousands of miles either in the air or on the land our wonderful Lord has answered the prayers of God’s people in keeping us safe as we travel.  To God be the glory!

One of the highlights of the quarter was for Cassie and I to have a part in our MWBM Western USA Orientation that was hosted by Pastor Jimmy Robertson and the Buffalo Baptist Church of Buffalo, Wyoming.  We enjoyed the fellowship of nine different church planting families during the week and were moved by their obvious burden for the West.  While there, we were yet again reminded of the tremendous need for churches right here in our own county.  Town after town, city after city with no Bible believing church, no Preacher preaching the truth, no gospel witness.  Truly a world at its worst needs a church at its best.

We are also rejoicing over the fact that two more churches have purposed to partner with us on a monthly basis.  Thank you Pastor Davy Shelton and the Gateway Baptist Church of Boiling Springs, SC, as well as Pastor Steve Pope and the Calvary Baptist Church of Union Grove, NC, for your prayers and faithful support.  I assure you, Cassie and I both will do our part in seeing that fruit abounds to your account as a result of your investment in the ministry to which God has called us.

In our last letter, I asked you to please help us pray about the need of newer transportation for our family.  Since averaging between 50 and 60,000 miles a year on our vehicle the mileage as well as the wear and tear have added up in a hurry.  We are so grateful for the $2,000 that has been given toward this need, and we are hoping to make the purchase by the end of the year.   We have opened up a special account at our home office in order that we may set funds aside for another vehicle.  Will you please help us pray that God will lead us to the very one that He would have us to purchase?  Let me again assure you this is not a frivolous request on our part, but rather a genuine need we are trusting God will supply in order to help us continue to do what He has called us to do.

In closing we are very grateful for our supporting churches and individuals.  It is only as we continue to labor together that we can most effectively make an eternal difference for the cause of our wonderful Lord.  Only eternity will reveal the true worth of our efforts together.  Therefore, we continue by faith.

Sincerely,

Dr. Scott Caudill

June 2016

Dear Co labourers and Friends,

Cassie and I greet you in the wonderful and worthy name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.  We say of you as Paul said of the Philippian believers in Philippians 1:3, “I thank my God upon every remembrance of you.” We could not do what God has called us to do without your faithful prayers and financial support.  We are still at 75% of our needed monthly support for which we are grateful.  From the bottom of our hearts, we thank each of you that sacrifice on our behalf for the furtherance of the Gospel.

Our travels this quarter to “fan the flame of world evangelism” have taken us not only through our home state of Georgia, but also to Alabama, Tennessee, Mississippi, Maryland, North and South Carolina, as well as Florida.  Each stop along the way has given us opportunity to share the gospel both in and out of the pulpit.  After all, world evangelism does not start across the sea, but rather across the street.  Please join us in prayer that the seed of the gospel will take root in the hearts of those to which it was sown and bring forth a harvest for God’s glory.

I also wanted to share a very special prayer request with you this quarter.  Since leaving the pastorate and coming with Macedonia, Cassie and I have averaged traveling 50,000 miles a year.  Needless to say the miles on the used vehicle that we started with have added up in a hurry.  I truly feel it is time for us to begin praying about another vehicle.  Since we are on the road as much as we are and travel not only with our own luggage but our display and product as well, we feel that God would have us trust Him for a minivan.  Please understand that we are simply asking you to help us pray that God would send us to the very one that He would have us to purchase.  We believe when God’s timing is right, we will not only know which one that is, but we believe He will also provide the funds for it as well.  We believe God!  I assure you that this is not a frivolous ambition on our part, but rather a genuine need to most effectively carry out the task that our Lord has called upon us to do.  We appreciate your prayers concerning this matter very much.  God is able!

Lord willing both Cassie and I will be traveling to Montana and Wyoming July 11-14 to help our North and Southwestern USA Field Directors conduct an orientation for our Western USA missionaries.  Currently MWBM assists 21 families planting churches in the Western States and we look forward to spending time with them as well as trying our best to be an encouragement.  Please help us pray for safety as we travel and that God would meet with us in a special way while we are there.

If you are ever in the Braselton area of Georgia, we would be honored to have you as our special guest at our home office.  Please stop by for a visit and see firsthand what the Lord continues to enable us to do as we assist local Independent Baptist Churches reach the world with the Gospel.  To GOD be the glory!

Sincerely,

Dr. Scott Caudill

March 2016

Dear Co-labourers,

Cassie and I greet each of you in the wonderful name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.  We trust that you are well and enjoying the manifold blessings of our wonderful Lord.   The Psalmist declared in Psalms 68:19, “Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah.”  One of those many  “benefits” the Psalmist spoke of is the privilege of laboring along side many of you in order to reach the world with the glorious gospel of Christ.   Let me assure you friends, our labor is not in vain.  May each and every one of us determine in our hearts to press on in our soul winning, church planting, and missionary sending efforts.  Only eternity will reveal the true worth of our labor together.

Whereas there are many stories I could share with you that would assure you that fruit abounds to your account as you partner with us, let me briefly mention two.  A few months ago while preaching a very simple salvation message in Asheboro, NC, one young man in his twenties walked the aisle and trusted Christ as his personal Saviour.  What a blessing to know the gospel still works!  It really is as the Apostle Paul said, “…the power of God unto salvation…” I was reminded that night, yet again, the power to change a man’s life doesn’t reside in a preacher’s personality or his delivery style, but rather in the gospel of Christ that he preaches.  Therefore, I am determined to keep preaching the gospel!  I am firmly convinced that same gospel of Christ is the only hope this world has of salvation.  May we remind ourselves often that what God did for that young man in Asheboro, NC, He longs to do for the world.  It is not God’s will that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance before it is eternally too late.

Also, while preaching Missions Revival in January at the Immanuel Baptist Church of Jacksonville, Florida, it was a blessing to see a young couple that the Lord had been dealing with for some time surrender their lives to take the gospel to Spain.  Lord willing, Brother Jason and Mrs. Jessica Stanley will be applying with Macedonia as church planters to Spain soon.  I look for the Lord to use this couple in a mighty way in the days ahead to reach Spain with the Gospel.

Finally brethren, will you please pray for us?  Please join us in prayer for safety as we travel.  We are averaging several thousand road miles a year on our automobile not to mention air miles.  There is a tremendous need for traveling mercy.  Also, please pray with us about our support level.  A few supporters partnered with us for our first year in missions, but now that we are beyond the first year that support has concluded and there is a great need to replace that support.  We are still around 75% of the support needed to effectively do what the Lord has called us to do.  Would you prayerfully consider partnering with us on a monthly basis?  I assure you Cassie and I will do our very best to make sure fruit abounds to your account as a result of doing so.   Thank you so very much for your faithful prayers, support, and consideration.

Sincerely,

September 2015

Dear Friends and Fellow Laborers,

“Rescue the Perishing; Care for the Dying! Jesus is merciful! Jesus WILL save!”

What a glorious truth to share with folks all over the world that Jesus cares for their soul, and longs to save them for all of eternity! What a great responsibility for those of us who are saved to “Rescue the perishing” by sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ with them! Our sincere thanks goes out to all of our supporters who make it possible for us to travel the world to share the Gospel and to minister to missionaries who are doing the work of God. If you could go with us and see the great work they are doing on your behalf to preach the Word to the world, you would be very pleased with how your missions dollars are being spent. Only eternity will reveal the worth of your investment in missions. Your labor is not in vain!

Since our last letter, I have had the privilege of visiting two of our Macedonia missionaries in Mexico: Bro. Jonathan Allinson and Bro. Jonathan Anderson. Both of these men and their families are laboring with fervor and zeal to see folks saved and churches planted. I had the privilege to preach in Mexico City at a National Pastor’s Conference with our Mexican Field Director, Bro. Fred Kindhart.   It was a great encouragement to know that the Gospel is being heralded forth through the efforts of these Pastors and their churches.

Our travels this quarter have taken us to North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia, and New York. We are thankful for the safety the Lord has provided us and for the excitement for missions that we have seen among the congregations we have been privileged to minister to. We also had a stay in the hospital during this quarter! I was in Robbinsville, NC for a meeting, but ended up having emergency surgery instead for a problem related to a hernia. God showed great mercy to us by giving us a good doctor and a good hospital staff to care for me during this time. Please pray for me as I face another surgery in November.

We are currently at 70% of our needed monthly support. Our goal of being fully supported by December 2015 is in sight! Would you please help us pray the remainder of our support will be fulfilled by year’s end? It will be a wonderful blessing to give ourselves more fully to fanning the flames of Word Evangelism and to providing any support we can to our missionaries.

May God richly bless you as you serve Him with gladness!

In His Service,
